A&O Shearman advised InfraRed Capital Partners (U.S.) on its acquisition of Rail Modal Group, headquartered in New York, and the owner and operator of a strategic inland port and intermodal terminal network across Nebraska, Missouri, Texas, and North Dakota.

Rail Modal Group’s network supports freight connectivity for agricultural and commodity producers across key U.S. production regions, linking customers to Class I rail lines and major West Coast port gateways. The platform plays an important role in strengthening supply-chain resilience and supporting more efficient access to global export markets.

InfraRed is an international infrastructure asset manager, and the acquisition aligns with its focus on investing in assets critical to the functioning of societies and economies, from digital, energy and social infrastructure to transport and utilities.
