A&O Shearman today announced that Dan O’Shea has joined as a partner in its U.S. Capital Markets and Global ECM practice in New York, enhancing the firm's capital markets practice and supporting the firm’s continued strategic investment in its global corporate offering.
Dan joins from Sidley and brings more than 30 years of capital markets experience, advising both underwriters and companies on SEC-registered and private securities offerings. His practice spans investment grade and high yield debt, equity, and convertible securities offerings, as well as liability management transactions and public company advisory matters across a broad range of sectors including REITs, life sciences, asset management, transportation, and telecommunications.

His broad capabilities across the full range of capital markets products are highly complementary to our global platform.”

Lona Nallengara, global co-head of U.S. Capital Markets and Global ECM at A&O Shearman, added: “Dan is an experienced capital markets practitioner who brings a stellar market reputation built from serving as trusted counsel to financial institutions and public companies. His experience across all capital markets products will enhance our ability to support clients across our core sectors.”
