A&O Shearman represented the Republic of Chile in connection with its SEC-registered offering of EUR1.25bn 4.000% Notes due 2034, EUR1.10bn 4.375% Notes due 2038, and EUR750m 4.750% Notes due 2046.

Chile intends to use the net proceeds for general government purposes. A&O Shearman recently advised the initial purchasers in connection with bond offerings by Chilean issuers DB Terra Chile HoldCo SpA (Mundo) and Sociedad Transmisora Metropolitana S.A. (STM).

“We were proud to advise the Republic of Chile on this offering, which underscores the strong confidence that international investors continue to place in Chile as one of Latin America's most creditworthy sovereigns.”

The A&O Shearman team was led by New York-based capital markets partner Alejandro A. Gordano and included capital markets associate Gonzalo Robles, visiting attorney Teresa Zuniga, tax partner Lorenz Haselberger, and tax associates Daniel Kachmar and Edgardo Martinez Gastelum.
