A&O Shearman Represents Banks on the Province of San Juan's USD600 million inaugural bond offering
A&O Shearman advised the initial purchasers in the Province of San Juan's offering of USD600m 9.550% Notes due 2035, marking the province's first-ever international capital markets transaction.

The Province of San Juan intends to use the proceeds from the sale of the notes to finance public investment plans, infrastructure works, and capital expenditures across education, health, public security, and social infrastructure within the provincial public administration.

The transaction is the latest in a series of Argentine capital markets mandates for A&O Shearman, which have included advising the Province of Córdoba, as well as the initial purchasers in bond offerings by the Provinces of Neuquén, Chubut, Entre Ríos, and Santa Fe, and by corporates Tecpetrol and Arcor.

The A&O Shearman team was led by New York-based capital markets partner Alejandro A. Gordano and included capital markets contract attorney Gabriela Laufer and associate Hanan Al-Malssi, as well as tax partner Lorenz Haselberger and tax associates Daniel Kachmar and Edgardo Martinez Gastelum.
