A&O Shearman advises on DOC Pharma's EUR990 million senior secured notes and EUR150m revolving credit facility
A&O Shearman has advised a consortium of seven banks on a EUR990m senior secured notes offering, composed of EUR400m aggregate principal amount of senior secured floating rate notes due 2032 and EUR590m aggregate principal amount of 5.625% senior secured notes due 2032, issued by DOC Pharma, a leading Italian generic pharmaceutical company, and on its new EUR150m multi-currency revolving credit facility. 

DOC Pharma is the second largest player by revenue in the Italian Class A generics retail market and is owned by TPG, a global alternative asset manager with USD246billion in assets under management invested in over 350 active portfolio companies across more than 30 countries. 
 
The A&O Shearman team was led by High Yield partner Brad Weyland and Leveraged Finance partner Filippo Crosara, and senior associates Odysseas Theofanis and Luke Newling, supported by associates Silvia Montanya, Chantelle Fard, Chan Sriram, Ellen Liu, Mubashshir Sarshar and trainee Anna Thomas. 

Cross-border advice was also provided by A&O Shearman’s Finance and Capital Markets team in Italy, led by partners Pietro Scarfone and Alessandra Pala, while Tax advice was provided by counsel Elia Clarizia and Dustin Plotnick.
