A&O Shearman has advised EDP, through its subsidiary EDP Renováveis, S.A. (EDPR), on the sale to various vehicles managed by Amundi Transition Energétique (ATE), of 100% of a 121 MW wind portfolio located in France and Belgium for an enterprise value of EUR0.20 billion. This deal is part of the asset rotation strategy of EDP.

The portfolio comprises 11 operating wind projects in France, totaling 111MW, with an average commercial operation date (COD) in 2020 and one operating wind project in Belgium, totaling 11 MW, with a COD in 2020.

The A&O Shearman team was led by partner Alexandre Ancel and counsel Flora Leon-Servière, with associate Jérome Païs on M&A aspects; partner Romaric Lazerges, associates Charles-Hugo Lerebour, Adélie Sallou, and Lara Fontaine on public law and regulatory aspects; partner Olivier Picquerey on employment law aspects; associate Corentin Dolivet on real estate aspects; and partner Laurie-Anne Ancenys and associate Thomas Feigean on TSA aspects. Additional support was provided by the A&O Shearman teams in Belgium, notably from partner Wouter Van de Voorde and associates Louis Casteleyn, Sabri Berisha, and Alexander Pirard.
