What is the Employment Reorganisation Roadmap?

The Employment Reorganisation Roadmap is an online resource hosted on our website which answers over 30 questions on the legal, procedural, timing and cost implications of employee reorganisations in 35 jurisdictions worldwide (including the Netherlands). Country reports, up to date as at January 1, 2024, provide this guidance in the context of M&A, outsourcings, insolvencies, headcount reductions and the implementation of alternatives to dismissal. It is a tool to help you identify the employment and industrial relations impact of your restructuring plans, to plan ahead and to manage your risk exposure.

Who will it be of interest to?

The Employment Reorganisation Roadmap will be of general interest to multinational companies and relevant to those involved in the planning of restructurings and change management, including Board directors, HR teams, in-house counsel and compliance team members. We anticipate that it will be particularly valuable at this time, when many companies may be considering workforce restructurings, reorganisations or cost-saving measures as local job-saving schemes draw to a close.

Please note that the resource has been re-named the “Employment Reorganisation Roadmap” (rather than the “Employment Restructuring Roadmap” as it was previously known) to avoid any confusion with the A&O Shearman Restructuring group’s own resource “Restructuring Across Borders”.
