A&O Shearman advises Yusen Logistics Group on the acquisition of Walden Group’s healthcare logistics business
A&O Shearman has advised Yusen Logistics Group, a subsidiary of NYK, one of the world's leading transportation companies, on the execution of a put option agreement for the acquisition of the healthcare logistics business of the Walden Group, a leading European logistics provider, for a total amount of approximately EUR1.25 billion.

Yusen Logistics Group has positioned healthcare logistics as a key growth area and has been strengthening its global capabilities in medical and pharmaceutical logistics. The transaction remains subject to completion of the legally required consultation process with the relevant employee representative bodies and usual regulatory clearances.

The A&O Shearman core team was led by partner Marc Castagnède, senior associate Christos Ierna, and associates Yasmine Benhmida and Anne Sophie Rommi on corporate/M&A aspects; partner Florence Ninane, senior associate Noémie Bomble and associate Victoire Sipp on antitrust aspects; as well as counsel Luc Lamblin and associate Lara Fontaine on foreign direct investments aspects.
