Zahra works with the firm's clients in domestic and international tax planning.
She advises on the tax aspects of financial instruments and derivatives, fund formations and investments, and capital market transactions. 

Zahra is also active in the firm’s pro bono practice, working on a wide range of matters from immigration and asylum cases to advocating for women’s rights.

  • RHI Magnesita N.V. on its acquisition of Resco Products, Inc. for an enterprise value of up to USD410m.

Pro bono

  • Advising asylum seekers on their rights, drafting asylum applications, and representing clients in asylum interviews and in Immigration Court
  • Representing clients in child support matters in New York County Family Court
  • Advising clients on the formation of U.S. non-profit entities, including drafting by-laws and corporate policies
  • Conducting research into civil rights, international human rights, and humanitarian law issues, including for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), National Women's Law Center, and others
