Tim advises on transactional tax matters and has a focus on public and private M&A, structured finance and business restructurings.
He also frequently advises on the tax aspects of all employment related matters, including management incentive arrangements. He has a wide range of experience advising on and coordinating multi-jurisdictional transactions, including for private equity and venture capital firms and publicly traded companies. Clients appreciate his responsiveness and commercial and pragmatic approach. In 2023, he was seconded to our London office. He joined the firm in 2019.

  • Koninklijke DSM NV on all tax aspects of its business merger with Firmenich SA creating DSM-Firmenich AG.
  • A US investment company on the acquisition of a Dutch mortgage originating business.
  • Various Dutch mortgage originators and car lease companies in relation to the securitization of assets. 
  • A Dutch pharmaceutical company on amending their employee share option plan in light of legislative changes with respect to the taxation of employee share options.
  • A listed Dutch company on the tax aspects of its executive incentive schemes.
  • A Dutch shipping company on its financial restructuring and rationalization of its asset base and corporate structure.
  • A US multinational with ‘rest of the world’ headquarters in the Netherlands on various investments in and structuring and restructuring of LNG, hydropower and PV installations in Asia, Europe and South America.
  • Advising a multinational commodity trading company with the JV structuring and commercial and tax contracting relating to a hydrogen installation.
