Peter has experience in a wide range of corporate transactions, including private acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and complex shareholder arrangements, strategic investments, private equity and growth capital investments.

Peter advises across a number of sectors, though has developed extensive experience advising on transactions involving the sports, media, entertainment and technology sectors, as both in-house and external counsel.

Prior to the UAE, Peter has worked in London, Jersey and Singapore.

  • CVC Capital Partners plc as in-house counsel in relation to:

    • Its IPO on Euronext Amsterdam, raising EUR2.3bn at a market capitalization of EUR14bn.
    • Transformative equity and debt corporate transactions, including its balance sheet acquisitions and platform integrations of asset managers Glendower (private equity secondaries) and DIF (private equity infrastructure).
    • The acquisition by its private equity flagship fund of Jagex, a leading developer and publisher of videogames primarily known for its key RuneScape titles, from Carlyle.
    • Management of its private equity sports investment portfolio including WTA (Women’s Tennis Association), a number of Rugby properties and LaLiga.
    • The investment by its private equity flagship fund in Superstruct Entertainment, one of the world’s premier live entertainment groups.
    • The merger of ironSource into NYSE-listed Unity Software Inc, a videogame engine and software development company.
    • The investment by its private equity growth fund in founder-led TOPdesk, a service management software provider.
    • The investment by its private equity growth fund in Unily, a world-leading employee experience platform provider.
  • A private equity firm on its investment in Visma, a leading provider of mission-critical cloud software in Europe and Latin-America.
  • General Atlantic on its investment in Argus Media, an independent provider of market intelligence for the global energy and commodity markets.
  • Hellman & Friedman on its USD5.3bn take-private acquisition of Nets A/S, a digital payment solutions provider.
  • A Silicon Valley-headquartered global fintech on its investment in a critical Asian super-app.
