Nick has extensive experience in a wide range of finance transactions with particular specialisation in leveraged finance, including TLB, unitranche and bank financings, and acquisition focused project finance, acting for both sponsors and arrangers.
Prior to A&O Shearman, Nick was a senior associate at Allens, and prior to that worked in-house for a financial institution.

  • The lenders on a unitranche refinancing and recapitalisation of a private equity firm portfolio company, Novotech Group.
  • Lenders on the financing for Advent International’s acquisition of Zimmermann.
  • A global financial institution on the financing to Alceon Private Equity for its acquisition of BOSS Engineering.
  • An alternative asset management and capital markets company on the financing for Adamantem’s acquisition of QANTM IP by way of scheme of arrangement.
  • The Riverside Company on the debt financing for Virtual IT Group.
  • Pacific Equity Partners on the financing of the acquisition by IntelliHUB Holdings Pty Ltd (a joint venture vehicle between Pacific Equity Partners and Landis + Gyr) of the Acumen electricity metering business from Origin Energy Limited.*
  • GIP on various acquisitions and investments including QCLNG, Gladstone LNG and Pluto Train 2.*
  • An alternative asset management and capital markets company and other consortium members, on the financing for the take-private acquisition of Spark Infrastructure.*
  • Pacific Equity Partners on the financing for its acquisition of LifeHealthCare.*
  • Bain Credit and other financiers in relation to QPE and Bruin Capital’s JV acquisition financing for TGI Sports.*
  • Challenger in relation to its funding of Brightstar Capital’s acquisition of Optus Mobile Insurance.*

  • CBA and ANZ in relation to financing Pacific Equity Partners’ acquisition of Altus.*
