Dr. Miner’s practice focuses on patent litigation, patent opinions, and due diligence projects in the life sciences space. Dr. Miner has experience working on matters involving small molecule and biologic pharmaceuticals, polymorphs, industrial polymers, and various medical devices.
While attending law school, Dr. Miner was a scientific advisor at another global law firm where he leveraged his scientific background to assist with patent litigations, patentability opinions, and freedom-to-operate analyses. Prior to law school, Dr. Miner earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from New York University where he studied the development of new methods for the synthesis of biologically active hydroperoxides and endocyclic peroxides. Dr. Miner also performed research in the field of supramolecular chemistry, exploring the host-guest relationships between synthetic lectins and various saccharides. As a result of his graduate work,
Dr. Miner is well-versed in a number of analytical techniques used in the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Miner has published a number of scientific articles and has presented his research at regional and national scientific meetings and conferences. He is also a co-inventor of one U.S. patent.
