Lucy advises clients including financial institutions, funds, private equity firms and corporates on a broad range of asset-backed finance transactions, with a particular focus on the real estate sector (particularly CMBS and RMBS). 
Her experience covers new origination, plus advising on the work out of legacy CMBS transactions. She is also highly experienced in advising sellers and buyers on cross border debt portfolio disposals and related financings covering various jurisdictions across Europe, including UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and CEE.

  • Funds managed by PIMCO on investments in Project Fino, the divestment by Unicredit of EUR17.7bn of Italian non-performing corporate loans by way of separate securitisations to PIMCO-managed funds and Fortress. The transaction is regarded as the most significant deal to date in the Italian NPL sector.
  • A global financial institution on its acquisition of a circa EUR5bn portfolio of residential mortgage loans from Bank of Scotland and financings by way of multiple public securitisation and warehouse financings, including the Roundstone Securities No 1 DAC RMBS, Dublin Bay Securities 2018 DAC RMBS and Dublin Bay Securities 2018-MA1 DAC RMBS (an innovative “match adjusted” securitisation designed for insurance company investors).
  • Private equity and bank clients on bids for performing and non-performing portfolios of loans (including residential mortgage loans, commercial mortgage loans and SME loans) in various jurisdictions across Europe, including Italy, Spain Greece, UK and Ireland and related warehouse and RMBS transactions, including advising successful bidders on the sale by UKAR of the Neptune and Durham portfolios and advising on securitisations of acquired portfolios, including Glenbeigh Securities 2018-1 DAC (Irish re-performing RMBS), Proteus RMBS DAC (Irish RMBS), Kirkby RMBS PLC (UK RMBS), Durham Mortgages A PLC (UK RMBS) and Durham Mortgages B PLC (UK RMBS).
  • Bank clients on numerous single and multi loan European CMBS transactions across a range of countries and sectors, including Ribbon Finance 2018 (a global financial institution), FROSN-2018 DAC (a group of financial institutions), Salus (European Loan Conduit No.33) DAC (MS) Taurus IT (a global financial institution), Taurus Kingfisher (a global financial institution), Arrow CMBS 2018 DAC (a global financial institution) and advising the arrangers and underwriters on the Student Finance bond programme.
