Kyle advises sponsors, lenders and guarantors on international project development and financing, with a particular focus on the renewable energy and oil and gas sectors.

He also has experience in advising on transport, healthcare and utility infrastructure. He advises on both project finance and project development matters and has acted on complex award-winning first-in-kind and first-in-country transactions, including projects involving multiple development finance institutions and export credit agencies.

Kyle completed a one-year secondment at the Asian Development Bank.

Representative matters

PETRONAS in respect of the development and financing (including bridge and long-term financing) of its approximately US$28 billion RAPID (Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development) refinery, cracker and petrochemicals project in Malaysia.

The Dow Chemical Company on the over US$10 billion debt restructuring (involving several ECA lenders, over 20 commercial banks and sukuk holders) of the Sadara petrochemicals project in Saudi Arabia.

Pertamina, Marubeni, and Sojitz as sponsors in relation to the development and financing of the US$1.7 billion Jawa 1 LNG to power project in Indonesia.

Masdar and PJBI, a subsidiary of Indonesian state-owned offtaker PT PLN, in connection with the development and financing of a 145MW floating solar PV project over the Cirata reservoir in Indonesia.

InterContinental Energy on its US$115 million Series B capital raise from GIC and Hy24.

IFC, ADB, BII and KEXIM on the financing of the 102MW Gulpur Hydropower Plant in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan.

PETRONAS in the sale to Saudi Aramco of a 50% interest in, and related joint venture and commercial arrangements for, the refinery and cracker complex and petrochemicals plants forming part of the RAPID project.

The Dow Chemical Company on the financing of its US$20 billion joint venture with Saudi Aramco, the Sadara petrochemicals project in Saudi Arabia.

The borrowers in respect of the acquisition, development, conversion and operation of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in El Salvador, which provides LNG regasification services to a 378 MW natural gas power plant owned by Energía del Pacífico. The FSRU will be the first regasification vessel deployed off the coast of El Salvador.

A bidder in relation to the bidding for the development of the Kalimantan, Lampung, Saguling and Singkarak solar power projects in Indonesia.

IFC, ADB, IsDB and DEG on the financing of the Triconboston project (consisting of three 50MW wind power projects) in Sindh, Pakistan.

CGIF as guarantor to the 480 billion IDR (US$34 million) three- and five-year bond and sukuk issuances by Polytama Propindo in Indonesia.

CGIF as guarantor to two separate five-year THB 2 billion (US$64 million) corporate bond issuances by Siamgas in Thailand.

Pro bono

Ran a financial literacy workshop for residents of the Star Shelter of the Singapore Council of Women’s Organizations (one of the four domestic violence shelters in Singapore) in partnership with Star Shelter and AIDHA (an award-winning charity that offers courses to low-income residents in Singapore).

Designed and conducted an advocacy and legal education workshop for underprivileged children in partnership with YMCA.
