Kaat's expertise covers all aspects of corporate law including public and private M&A transactions, both domestic and cross-border, complex restructurings and joint ventures.
She also has experience with equity capital markets transactions and listed company advisory work. Kaat works for a wide variety of clients, ranging from financial institutions to private equity houses and corporates. Kaat was a teaching assistant in corporate law at KU Leuven from 2020-2023.

Representative matters

A world-leading multinational telecommunications company on its voluntary and conditional public takeover bid for all the shares of Telenet Group Holding NV that it does not already own or that are not held by Telenet.

Telenet, the largest provider of cable broadband services in Belgium, on its “network of the future” joint venture with utility grid operator Fluvius estimated at €2 billion and the related creation of an independent self-funding infrastructure company. 

Telenet on the auction sale of its mobile tower infrastructure, which involves the ring fencing of Telenet's towerco infrastructure asset followed by a (potential) sale to a third party – a never-before-been-done type of transaction in the Belgian market with significant regulatory implications.
