Jonah primarily advises on restructuring and insolvency law, especially in the context of national and cross-border transactions.

His focus is on financial restructuring advising corporates, international banks, financial institutions or investors in distressed situations and on the preparation, negotiation and implementation of complex and international restructuring concepts, for instance by way of an out-of-court "consensual" restructuring or in-court restructuring and insolvency proceedings. 

Jonah studied law at the Martin-Luther-University of Halle-Wittenberg. He wrote his doctoral thesis on the obligations to file for insolvency at the chair of Prof Dr Stephan Madaus at Martin-Luther-University of Halle-Wittenberg.
