Jeane Benny

Senior Associate

Jeane is a leveraged finance lawyer in the Banking department at A&O Shearman. 
She has acted for a range of private equity funds, major banks and borrowers on a variety of transactions, ranging from acquisition financing through to general corporate lending. She has a broad base of experience in coordinating and managing complex cross-border deals, particularly leveraged buy-outs and refinancings and specifically in the direct lending and PE/infrastructure crossover space.

Experience

Representative matters

A consortium of 20 lenders on a GBP 1.23 billion refinancing of the KKR-owned Viridor group.

KKR’s and Equitix’s lenders on the separate refinancings of its bridge facilities for the acquisition of the John Laing Group.

The lender on its unitranche financing of Mubadala’s successful bid to acquire the Witherslack Group.

The lenders on a EUR 225 million PIK facility.

The lenders on a EUR 360 million best efforts TLB and a EUR 70 million underwritten RCF refinancing of a BC Partners owned group.

Pro bono

Assisted children born in the UK on their rights to register as a British citizen under the British Nationality Act and working the Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit with their applications for nationality.

Participating in the Reading Partners scheme at Christ Church CE Primary School, working with a primary school student on developing their reading comprehension skills on a fortnightly basis.
