Jaroslaw Iwanicki


Jarosław is Head of Poland Corporate and Lead of the Baltic Desk.

He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on the financial institution sector.

He also has extensive experience in private equity transactions. He has advised on several major M&A transactions in the Polish market, including Naspers’ sale of the Polish e-commerce giant Allegro, Santander’s acquisition of Deutsche Bank’s Polish retail operations and Saudi Aramco’s investment in the Gdańsk Refinery.


Representative matters

Aramco on its investment in Poland’s refining, wholesale, and jet fuel marketing segments through a number of acquisitions from PKN Orlen.

Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Limited on its acquisition of Emitel from Astatine Investment Partners. 

Aegon on the sale of its Polish life insurance and pension businesses to Vienna International Group. 

Ørsted on a joint venture with PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. for the development, construction and operation of two offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea, with a total potential capacity of up to 2.5GW.
