George has experience advising lenders, multilaterals, export credit agencies and borrowers, sponsors and energy and infrastructure funds in cross-jurisdictional energy and infrastructure projects with a particular focus on the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean region.
He was previously based in the firm's London and Istanbul offices.

Representative matters

EIB and the mandated lead arrangers on the Green Line of the Tel Aviv Light Rail Project.

Macquarie on its proposed acquisition of a listed Greek renewable energy company.

A group of financial institutions and the other commercial banks on the on the EUR663.1m financing for the construction and operation of a 200m m3/year desalination plant in Israel (Sorek B).

The sponsors on the EUR6bn Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project, encompassing the development, construction and financing of a gas pipeline from the Greek-Turkish border to Italy carry Azeri gas to Europe. Financing was provided by EIB, EBRD and a number of ECAs.

The finance parties (including AfDB, JBIC, KEXIM and NEXI) on the refinancing of the hydro-cracking complex on a site adjacent to the Cairo Oil Refining Company facilities in Mostorod, Egypt.
