Euan has experience advising clients from a wide range of sectors on all aspects of employment law including contentious, advisory and transactional matters.

He has acted for employers in dispute with current and former employees in the Employment Tribunal and the High Court on matters including discrimination, harassment, victimisation, whistleblowing, breach of post-termination restrictions and unfair dismissal. Euan also has experience on advisory matters ranging from investigating inappropriate conduct in the workplace to conducting redundancy exercises. Euan has worked on employment issues resulting from corporate transactions on both public and private mergers and acquisitions.

Euan works with sophisticated international clients across various industries, including the financial services, pharmaceuticals and renewable energy industries. He is experienced in coordinating employment teams spanning various jurisdictions.

  • A major bank on discrimination and whistleblowing claims at the longest single stint hearing to come before the Employment Tribunal.
  • An investigating into allegations of sexual misconduct, harassment and abuse of power on behalf of an international financial institution.
  • An abroad based pharmaceuticals client carrying out a redundancy exercise in their UK subsidiary.
  • Employment support to private equity firm Apax Partners LLP on its acquisition of Evelyn Partners' professional services unit.

  • A major consultancy firm defending claims of disability discrimination and unfair dismissal raised by a senior executive.
  • A financial services client defending claims of unfair dismissal and whistleblower detriment raised by a senior executive.
  • A financial services client on claims against former employees and their new employer regarding breach of confidence and copyright infringement.
Advisory work
  • A multiple financial services clients on employees’ terminations and disciplinary/end of employment matters.
  • Clients in relation to negotiation of terms and onboarding new executives.
  • A commercial real estate client on its potential transfer of undertakings liabilities relating to service and agency staff at one of its properties.

  • A bidder in relation to the acquisition of a publicly listed automotive parts manufacturer.
  • A vendor telecommunications client in relation to a public takeover bid.
  • A major bank on the purchase of a rival bank from its parent company.
  • A private equity client on the acquisition of a care home business.

Pro bono

  • Supervised trainee solicitors at AOS advising at local employment law clinics.
  • A buddy for one of AOS’ first intake of solicitor apprentices to help them bed into the firm and working life in general.
  • Worked with the Reading Partners charity at Christ Church Primary School to help children with their reading skills.
  • Provided careers mentoring a GCSE pupil via the Future Frontiers scheme focused on keeping young people from not being in employment, education or training.
