Angélique advises on a wide range of litigation matters as well as on all areas of in- and out-of-court dispute resolution.
She represents major national and international clients from a large variety of industries and sectors in commercial and corporate disputes, often with cross-jurisdictional elements. A particular focus of her work concerns the advice on professional and manager liability as well as insurance law. In this regard, she regularly advises and represents leading professional service firms as well as individuals in relation to complex liability claims, often with amounts in the double- and triple digit million range. A further group of her clients are large international insurance companies as well as insured parties, whom she advises on all aspects of D&O insurance. She is also an experienced advisor on insolvency law and questions of international private as well as international civil procedural law.

Experience

Representative matters

Advising and representing a leading international accounting firm with regard to alleged breaches of duty in connection with a restructuring report for a major German industrial group in several partly cross-border disputes in and out of court involving a large number of different parties. This includes defending the client in two complex actions for damages relating to alleged claims with values up to half a billion euros and related information claim proceedings, as well as representing the client in a number of out-of-court actions in connection with security claims under section 303 of the German Stock Corporation Act.

Advising and representing a former chairman of the supervisory board of a global hotel company in a liability dispute with its former chairman of the executive board.

Advising a leading German service-provider for power plants in connection with claims due to a partial termination of a contract for the decommissioning of an energy facility with a Europe-wide operating energy supplier.

Advising and representing two financial service providers in a potential dispute with the guarantors of an export credit guarantee regarding the enforcement of indemnification payments in relation to a syndicated loan agreement.

Advising a world-wide operating health care group in connection with a large number of cross-border disputes regarding the termination of distribution agreements in 17 jurisdictions.

 

 

Pro bono

Supporting an international NGO in relation to applications of vulnerable Afghan citizens under the German Federal Admission Programme for Afghanistan (Bundesaufnahmeprogramm für Afghanistan).
