Abanoub (Bob) Takla

Abanoub (Bob) is a qualified lawyer and Senior Legal Support Professional in A&O Shearman’s Perth based Advanced Delivery Legal (ADL) team.
He joined the Perth team in April 2022 and has worked across a range of practice sectors with a focus on complex disputes. Bob holds extensive experience in this area both managing and undertaking complex document reviews across multiple jurisdictions.


Bob also leads the Perth branch of the AOS Cyber Incident response team established in March 2024. The ADL Cyber Incident Response (CIR) team is the client’s first line of defence and is responsible for triaging cyber incidents as they are received. Bob is responsible for managing and training of the ADL CIR team. 


Bob is admitted to practice in WA and is regularly sought out by members of the wider AOS team for guidance and advice on project work and IT matters.  Further, Bob has experience on a range of banking and corporate matters which have included various due diligence matters handled by the Perth ADL team. He has recently assisted with the management of conditions precedent for multiple refinancing deals, preparation of legal opinions checklists and LIBOR transition exercises. 


Prior to joining Allen & Overy (as it then was), Bob worked for the Australian Government and assisted with a range of matters. As part of this work, Bob was responsible for assessing, summarising and preparing advice and briefings to inform senior level decision making processes.
