MOL debuts in the Polish debt capital markets with PLN850 million bond issuance

A&O Shearman has advised MOL Plc, a leading integrated oil, gas, petrochemicals, and consumer retail company headquartered in Hungary, on its inaugural debt capital markets transaction in Poland: the issuance of PLN850m floating rate notes.

The issuance marks MOL’s first access to the Polish debt capital markets and represents an important step in the company's funding diversification strategy. Bank Pekao S.A. and Erste Bank Polska S.A. acted as dealers on the transaction.

The A&O Shearman team was led by counsel Łukasz Walczyna and included Norbert Hete, Zsuzsanna Gordos and Filip Główka. The matter was supervised by Arkadiusz Pędzich.

Arkadiusz Pędzich, partner, commented: “It was a pleasure to work with MOL on their debut issuance in the Polish market. Congratulations to the MOL team on this successful transaction.”

Łukasz Walczyna, counsel, added: “This was MOL’s first debt capital markets transaction in Poland, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support the company throughout the process.”
