A&O Shearman supports lenders on debt financing for CVC’s latest partnership
A&O Shearman advised a group of lead arrangers and underwriters on the debt financing for leading global private markets manager, CVC, in an agreement with dsm-firmenich to divest its Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH) business for an enterprise value of approximately EUR2.2 billion, which includes an earnout of up to EUR0.5 bn.

dsm-firmenich, an innovator in nutrition, health, and beauty, will retain a 20% equity stake in the divested ANH Companies, in partnership with CVC.

The transaction underscores A&O Shearman’s lender‑side platform for top‑tier arranging lenders and our cross‑office delivery model across the UK and the Netherlands.

The financing supports a marquee private‑capital investment in a company at the heart of global food and nutrition systems. Representing the lead arrangers and underwriters, A&O Shearman executed a rapid, cross‑border solution for a market‑leading sponsor and financial institutions, demonstrating our ability to manage dynamic and complex structures.
