A&O Shearman expands U.S. fund finance practice with strategic partner hire in New York

Jan’s arrival represents a major milestone in the strategic expansion of A&O Shearman’s global fund finance business with the addition of a dedicated U.S. fund finance expertise to complement the firm’s rapidly growing team in London, Continental Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. His deep expertise across the full range of fund finance products and strong market reputation will be instrumental in developing the practice.

At A&O Shearman, Jan’s arrival will create new opportunities for cross-practice collaboration and strengthen its ability to serve clients. He possesses over 20 years of experience in structuring and executing complex fund finance transactions primarily in connection with fund formation, which includes subscription line facilities, asset-based facilities, and hybrid facilities. 

The U.S. and global fund finance market continues to experience strong growth across the full spectrum of products. The firm’s practice will collaborate closely with other U.S. and global teams to deliver integrated solutions to its expanding private capital and financial institution client base.
