A&O Shearman advises on Bell Canada’s USD650 million notes offering and concurrent debt tender offers
A&O Shearman represented the underwriters in connection with Bell Canada’s registered public offering of USD650m aggregate principal amount of its 5.450% series US-11 notes due 2036, which were guaranteed by its parent, BCE Inc. The notes were offered in the United States under the SEC’s Multijurisdictional Disclosure System (MJDS) for Canadian issuers.

Bell also completed a public offering in Canada of CAD1.6bn aggregate principal amount of medium term notes in two series, as well as cash tender offers to repurchase approximately CAD1.45bn combined aggregate principal amount of medium term notes.

Bell is Canada’s largest communications company based on total revenue and total combined customer connections.
