A&O Shearman advises financing providers on Lone Star's acquisition of Lonza's Capsules & Health Ing
A&O Shearman has advised the financing providers in connection with the acquisition financing for Lone Star Funds' agreement to acquire the Capsules & Health Ingredients division of Lonza Group AG.

An affiliate of Lone Star Fund XII, L.P. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Capsules & Health Ingredients division, a global leader in capsule design, manufacturing and encapsulation technology headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. The business operates globally across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, comprising three segments: Hard Empty Capsules, Dosage Form Solutions and Health Ingredients. As part of the transaction, Lonza will retain a 40% equity position in the business.

The A&O Shearman team was led by debt finance partners Darren Hanwell and Robert Burt and high yield partners Trevor Ingram and Marc Plepelits. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and approvals.
