A&O Shearman advises the banking syndicate on EUR600 million subordinated debt issue by Groupama
A&O Shearman advised a banking syndicate, including J.P. Morgan as global coordinator, on the issuance of perpetual subordinated notes (Restricted Tier 1) placed with institutional investors by the mutual insurance group Groupama, for an amount of EUR600m. 

This transaction seeks to leverage favorable market conditions to strengthen Groupama’s capital structure. Listed on Euronext Paris, the notes carry an annual coupon of 5.750%.

The A&O Shearman team was led by Paris-based partner Julien Sebastien and included counsel Lorraine Miramond and jurist Anthony Yeung Shun Fun.
