Alberto Claretta Assandri joins A&O Shearman in Italy

Alberto has extensive experience advising leading fund managers and institutional investors in the private equity, private debt, real estate, and venture capital sectors. He provides end-to-end strategic support, with a particular focus on the structuring of Italian and Luxembourg funds, fundraising activities, and negotiations with investors. His expertise also covers structured transactions, such as co-investments, secondary transactions, and managed mandates.

In addition, Alberto has a deep knowledge of the Italian and European regulatory framework, assisting asset managers, banks, financial intermediaries, payment institutions, and insurance companies in all areas of banking, financial, insurance, payment services, and asset management regulations. He also advises financial institutions on extraordinary and complex M&A transactions and regularly liaises with sector regulatory authorities.
