Yipsum works on a range of structured finance and securitisation transactions and has experience across a variety of asset classes including residential mortgages (owner occupied, buy to let, equity release, bridging and development loans) and commercial mortgages (logistics, office and retail).

Experience

Representative matters

  • Sistema.bio on a first in the market carbon rights financing transaction designed to scale access to biodigesters, beginning with an inaugural phase in India with a view to expanding to regions in Africa and Asia. The transaction sets a market precedent.
  • Barclays Bank PLC as arranger and joint lead manager on a GBP 274 million Regulation S residential mortgage-backed (RMBS) securitisation which involved the redemption of two previous securitisations, which was listed on Euronext Dublin.
  • A major US fund as sponsor and risk retention holder on a EUR 582 million Rule 144A RMBS transaction listed on Euronext Dublin, which was arranged by Goldman Sachs International and jointly managed by Goldman Sachs International and Standard Chartered Bank.
  • A major US fund as co-arranger, joint lead manager, sponsor and retention holder on a EUR 516 million Rule 144A RMBS transaction (which involved the sale of three portfolios), listed on Euronext Dublin and jointly arranged by Barclays and Citigroup and jointly managed by Barclays, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank.
  • Relevant previous firm experience includes advising Be-Spoke Capital on its inaugural Spanish collateralized loan obligation transaction with NatWest Markets and J.P. Morgan, comprising sub-investment grade senior unsecured loans to Spanish small to medium enteprises and mid-caps. Following this transaction, Be-Spoke Capital won the 2020 Global Capital Award for 'Debt Securitisation Issuer of the Year'.
