William Vaudry

Will specialises in intellectual property litigation and advisory work. He has experience across a range of intellectual property rights, including copyright, trade marks and patents.

Will has worked with clients operating in a variety of sectors, including media, technology, fashion, food & beverage and life sciences. As a trainee, he spent six months on secondment at Vue International, a multinational cinema company.

Before joining A&O Shearman, Will was a research assistant at the Law Commission of England & Wales. He was involved with projects concerning Electronic Trade Documents, Smart Contracts and Digital Assets – work that gave him experience at the cutting edge of digitalisation, and of the law’s response to technological change.

Experience

Pro bono

  • Working with Coram Children’s Legal Centre to advise and support young people on citizenship applications.
  • Contributing to the United for Global Mental Health’s report on the decriminalisation of suicide.
  • Working with the School Exclusion Project to advocate for children who have been permanently excluded from school.
  • Working with the National Centre for Domestic Violence to prepare witness statements for use in support of applications for protective injunctive measures.
