Vania advises on a wide range of transactions in the energy and resources sector and works with major domestic and international clients across a variety of jurisdictions.

She advises on transactions in mining, oil and gas, hydrogen, CCUS, renewable power and energy transition, including on M&A, joint ventures, project development, offtake, infrastructure construction, and operations and services arrangements. Vania speaks English and Cantonese.

Representative matters

  • LG Chem Ltd on its investment in a United States based lithium mining company, Piedmont Lithium Inc, through the acquisition of a minority stake and a substantial offtake agreement for spodumene in the Piedmont Group.
  • SK E&S on the proposed development of the Caldita Barossa gas fields in the Timor Sea and LNG processing via the Darwin LNG plant and associated CCS project, including carbon storage and transport agreements.
  • Alinta Energy on the sale of its business for an enterprise value of AUD1.722bn (USD1.1bn) in the Pilbara region of Western Australia to APA Group.
  • Omnes on the acquisition of a EUR150 million minority stake in global clean energy enterprise TagEnergy.
  • Jade Energy Holdings on the SPA for sale and purchase of shares in RCMA Australia to Perth Basin Energy and Walcott Capital and associated processing option and royalty agreements between Jade and RCMA.
  • Consolidated Copper Corp on the drafting of mining services and other agreements in relation to the proposed Namibian copper operations.
