Travis advises clients on a broad range of competition and consumer law matters, including regulatory investigations and enforcement, digital platform regulation, and merger clearances.
Travis has experience across a variety of sectors, including technology, mining, energy and utilities, private capital, entertainment and hospitality, across both ASX listed and privately owned companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Travis worked in the litigation team of an elite national firm and was Tipstaff to the Honourable Justice Basten of the New South Wales Court of Appeal.

Representative matters

  • The non-executive directors of Star Entertainment Group Limited in proceedings brought by ASIC in the Federal Court of Australia for alleged contraventions of their director’s duties, with the Court clearing the non-executive directors of all contraventions (ASIC v Bekier (Liability Judgment) [2026] FCA 196) (previous firm experience).
  • An ASX-listed mining company in proceedings brought by ASIC in the Federal Court of Australia for alleged contraventions of whistleblower victimisation provisions (ASIC v TerraCom Limited [2025] FCA 726). This was Australia’s first proceeding on these provisions (previous firm experience).
  • Dexus Capital Investors Limited and other entities in relation to a shareholder dispute concerning shares in the entity that owns and manages Melbourne and Launceston Airports (previous firm experience).
  • MA Financial Group in a dispute relating to the sale of two hotels at Darlinghurst, Australia (Taylor Square TT Pty Ltd v Kinselas Pty Ltd [2024] NSWSC 799; [2024] NSWSC 987) (previous firm experience).
  • Advising an ASX-listed company in relation to an activist short-selling campaign (previous firm experience).
  • The former CEO of an Australian engineering firm in the successful defence of a foreign bribery prosecution with the jury returning an acquittal. This was Australia’s first foreign bribery criminal proceeding (previous firm experience).
  • Visy Glass in a dispute with a winery in relation to the supply of wine bottles, and Visy Paper in a dispute with a local council in relation to a contract for recycling services (previous firm experience).

  • Moot judging and coaching through Macquarie University since 2022.
