He set up the firm’s Business Acceptance Unit in 2003 with responsibility for all aspects of risk and compliance relating to client engagement and the acceptance of new business including anti-money laundering, conflicts, client engagement letters and client confidentiality.
His fee-earning experience is in corporate law, in particular mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance, and he was a lawyer in the Corporate department for eight years prior to commencing his in-house role.
Simon has responsibility globally for leading the firm’s Risk Management and Compliance function which includes the Business Acceptance Unit, In-House Legal Department and the teams with responsibility for Data Privacy, Financial Crime & Sanctions, Regulation & Conduct and Risk Operations.
