Shaima is a corporate Partner based in Riyadh, with deep experience across M&A, complex commercial arrangements, asset management and fund investments in Saudi Arabia and internationally.
Most recently, she served as General Counsel at Hassana Investment Company, partnering with the CEO and Board on stakeholder engagement and legal risk management, and leading the legal and compliance functions.

Her work spans structuring and negotiating M&A deals, fund investments, investment management agreements, and brokerage and custody arrangements, as well as advising on general corporate matters, portfolio management matters and regulatory compliance.

Earlier in her career in private practice, Shaima advised on joint ventures, private M&A, foreign direct investment into the Kingdom, competition law, corporate structuring, and licensing solutions with regulatory authorities, including a secondment to a global tech giant in Riyadh. She also supported on landmark transactions and initiatives for a range of international and regionally head-quartered companies from a broad range of sectors.

  • A Saudi government-related investment company on the $1.5 billion strategic partnership with a leading global alternative asset manager in its climate-focused platform (previous role experience).
  • A Saudi government-related investment company on the $2.4 billion investment in a regional port (previous role experience).
  • A Saudi government-related investment company on its leading role in a global consortium acquiring a $15.5 billion acquisition of a 49% stake in a gas pipelines business (previous role experience).
