Ryan advises on project finance, acquisition finance and corporate finance across the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors.

His experience is across both emerging markets and developed markets, he has advised on transactions across multi-jurisdictional projects in Africa, the Middle East and Australia. Ryan is particularly focused on energy transaction projects and sustainability finance, including the financing of carbon offset generation projects.

  • Kenyan Government on the renegotiation of various power purchase agreements with independent power producers.*
  • Red Rocket Energy on the financing and construction of 2 wind farms with a total capacity of 288MW.*
  • Absa Corporate and Investing Banking on the financing of a wind farm in Egypt.*
  • Cygnum Capital and Africa Go Green Fund on two separate financings for multijurisdictional carbon credits projects for the distribution of clean cookstoves in Africa.*
  • Anglo American on a portfolio of secured and unsecured prepayment finance, development finance and offtake arrangements with Australian mining companies for commodities including coking coal and iron ore.*
  • C-Quest Capital on the funding and development of a nature based solutions business in Malawi.*
  • A leading financial services company on the financing of a BESS project.*
