Robyn Brownlie heads up the UK & US arm of A&O Shearman’s Project Management team.

Project Management comprises dedicated legal project managers handling our most complex matters.

Robyn takes care of the day-to-day aspects of the projects on which she works. Her responsibilities include co-ordinating teams, workstreams and information flows. In addition, she ensures regular communication between the A&O Shearman team, the client and any additional advisors. She also manages the financial aspects of the matter including budgeting, monitoring and providing regular fee updates to the client and the A&O Shearman leads.

Robyn’s experience includes the project management of:

A highly complex regulatory restructuring to implement the ring fencing obligations for a large UK-based bank. The scope of project management covered the entirety of the implementation and closing phase of the project and included co-ordination of over 30 workstreams, across multiple offices and practice groups.

Various global banks’ Brexit contingency planning projects. The scope of project management covered the execution phases of the Brexit implementation. Robyn liaised directly with the client’s project management team and was responsible for overseeing the firm's Project team across multiple practice areas in multiple jurisdictions.

Regulatory investigation into one of the big 4 accountancy firms’ audit practices. Robyn liaised directly with the firms’ project management team at Client site and was responsible for overseeing the deployment of the Consulting team across multiple workstreams.

A complex corporate reorganisation programme of works for a multinational telecommunications company. Robyn worked closely with the client team to ensure full visibility in relation to the wider programme including projected scope of work and associated fees for multiple individual projects, together with monthly status reporting.

Robyn has also completed a four month client secondment, providing dedicated project management support to the Nuclear Development and in–house legal team for the proposed Sizewell C development, a nuclear power station in Suffolk.

Robyn studied an LLB at University and completed her Legal Practice Course Certificate at The College of Law, London. Robyn is a PRINCE2 Practitioner and a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
