Paul has over 25 years’ experience advising on cross-border M&A transactions, including public and private company acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, minority investments, strategic alliances, joint ventures and asset sales across a wide range of industries.

Paul also has extensive experience advising private equity clients, pension funds, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and other financial investors on transactions globally.

Paul is a leading M&A advisor on transportation transactions, having advised on some of the most significant transactions in the shipping sector.

Paul has extensive experience advising on U.S. law transactions, including U.S. public company transactions, take private transactions, de-SPACs and U.S. venture capital transactions, as well as English law transactions.

Paul previously worked in New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong.

    • 50five, Europe’s leading charging point operator.
  • Purus Marine on various transactions in the maritime sector including the establishment of Rem Purus, a leading operator of CSOVs in the offshore wind sector.
  • Tiger Group Investments on numerous transactions, including:
    • its maritime partnership with The Carlyle Group and Seaspan Corporation to acquire more than $5 billion of shipping vessels
    • its investment in Greathorse Chemical with Standard Chartered Private Equity to acquire chemical tankers.
  • Vice Media Group on its sale to Fortress investment Group LLC.

  • Advising Impact Investment Exchange on the issuance of the $8 million Woman's Livelihood Bond, the world's first listed debt security with a dual focus on financial and social returns, empowering 385,000 woman in Southeast Asia.
