Olivia advises lender syndicates, investment banks and private credit providers on real estate finance transactions including acquisition financings and development financings across the UK and Europe.
She has experience across a range of asset classes including student accommodation, residential, retail, leisure and technology parks. Olivia regularly works on cross-border secured lending transactions and is experienced in coordinating multi-jurisdictional matters.
 
Olivia trained at the firm’s London office and was seconded to the A&O Shearman Amsterdam banking team, where she gained experience in a broader range of European finance matters.
 
Olivia is a member of the A&O Shearman Social Mobility Network.

Representative matters

  • An international investment bank on a GBP 130 million refinancing of the acquisition of a six-asset UK PBSA portfolio. This was the first matter completed between the client and AustralianSuper and supported AustralianSuper’s first portfolio investment.
  • Two private credit providers on a GBP 72 million acquisition financing of UK student accommodation, involving two back-leverage workstreams.
  • A private equity sponsor on the EUR 120 million joint venture financing of a portfolio of Polish retail assets.
  • A lending syndicate, comprising an investment bank and two private credit providers, on the amendment and restatement of an existing financing of a Brookfield-owned leisure park to introduce a GBP 55 million capex facility. 
  • The mandated lead arrangers on a GBP 310 million senior facility agreement secured on a residential development in London.

Pro bono

  • Mentoring a sixth-form student through The Social Mobility Foundation’s Aspiring Professionals scheme.
  • Representing individual clients in respect of Home Office applications for British citizenship in collaboration with Coram Children’s Legal Centre.
  • Assisting with the preparation of a legal terms glossary for an organization aiming to improve public understanding of legal concepts and access to legal services.
