Matt spent six months of his training contract on secondment to A&O Shearman’s Milan office and most recently spent a year on secondment at Bridgepoint.

Representative matters

IFM Investors on the sale of an equity interest in the 27 mile six lane M6 toll road to GLIL Infrastructure.

Recticel on the sale of its engineered foam business to the American Carpenter group.

Apax Partners on its acquisition of Alcumus Group Limited, a market-leading risk management and compliance solutions business from Inflexion Partners.

PAI Partners on the simultaneous acquisitions of Addo Food Group, a leading chilled savoury pastry producer and Winterbotham Darby, a dynamic chilled food supplier from LDC and Equistone (respectively).

Pro bono

Assisted Safe Passage, a global refugee charity, in applying and securing UK visas for Ukrainian refugees in Warsaw, Poland.

Works with social mobility organisations including the Sutton Trust and Social Mobility Foundation and other programmes relating to social mobility within the UK.

Sits on the Social Mobility Working Group and is a founder of the Social Mobility Affinity Group.

Advises as a school governor at a local independent primary school.
