Marcus's practice focuses on fund formation and related matters.

He advises fund sponsors and investors in the formation and operation of a wide range of open-end and closed-end funds, including private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, impact funds and other alternative investment products. He also advises fund sponsors regarding carried interest plans, regulatory and internal governance matters.

Marcus previously practiced in Hong Kong and has broad experience advising clients in the Asia Pacific. He was recommended by Legal 500 Asia Pacific for China Investment Funds and Hong Kong Investment Funds. Marcus is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

One of India’s largest developer and manager of industrial and logistics real estate on the formation of a closed-end fund which was the largest logistics real estate fund raised in India when it was launched.

An international asset manager on the formation of a closed-end fund and its subsequent conversion into an open-end fund.

An international non-profit organization on the formation of a “first-of-its-kind” philanthropic initiative based in Singapore which aims to catalyze clean energy investments in Southeast Asia.
