Lydia specialises in all aspects of corporate tax, including M&A, financings, restructurings, corporate reorganisations, and disputes with tax authorities.
 

She regularly advises multinational corporate groups on a wide range of issues in relation to their tax affairs, including on structuring issues and disputes related to tax matters (whether with a tax authority or transaction counterparties). On the transactional side, she has extensive experience of advising in relation to acquisitions and disposals by public and private companies, joint ventures, complex financings (including solvent and insolvent restructurings) and corporate reorganisations.
 
She is a former chair, and current member, of the Tax Committee of the Law Society of England & Wales. She is a regular contributor to consultations with HM Revenue & Customs and the UK Treasury on the development of legislation and tax policy. 
 
Lydia is ranked Band 1 in Chambers & Partners Corporate Tax UK 2025/26 and is also recognised as Hall of Fame in Legal 500’s UK Corporate Tax category for 2025/26.
