Leona is a restructuring and insolvency specialist with extensive cross-border experience Leona is a key member of our restructuring and insolvency practice.
With over a decade of experience, she provides strategic advice to clients navigating complex financial distress across the APAC region and has also advised on matters involving major offshore financial centers. Leona has played a critical role in a range of high-profile restructurings, acting for commercial banks, investment banks, insolvency practitioners, listed companies, directors, and shareholders. She has notably acted for the creditor steering committees in the recent wave of distressed Chinese real estate developer restructurings. Her fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese enables her to support clients on multi-jurisdictional cases. Leona has been recognised in both the Asia and Greater China lists of LexisNexis 40 under 40 2025 and was a finalist for the IWIRC Rising Star Award 2023. She is also recognised for her commitment to the profession, having served as Co-Chairperson of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (Hong Kong) from 2023 to 2025.
