Leona has experience in contentious and non-contentious cross-border restructuring, insolvency and workouts. 

She has advised listed companies, insolvency practitioners, leading international and regional accountancy practices, investment banks, commercial banking institutions, directors and shareholders. She has worked extensively on restructuring and insolvency matters across onshore and offshore jurisdictions, including Australia, Hong Kong, the United States, Singapore, India, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Island Bermuda.

Leona is qualified as a solicitor in Australia in 2011 and completed the Insolvency Education Program with the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association in 2014.  She is the Vice-Chairperson of the International Women Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (Hong Kong).

She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Acting for the co-ordination committee of lenders under certain syndicated facilities to Shimao Group Holdings Limited to effect a holistic restructuring of the group’s offshore debts.

Acting for the co-ordination committee of lenders under certain syndicated and bilateral facilities to China Aoyuan Group Limited to effect a holistic restructuring of the group’s offshore debts.

Acting for the facility agent on behalf of the lenders under certain syndicated facilities to KWG Group Holdings Limited.
