Laurens represents public and private companies, investment banks, and private equity sponsors across a broad range of matters related to corporate law, including capital markets transactions and corporate governance matters.
He specializes in U.S. federal securities laws and regularly advises clients in transactions involving equity and debt (high yield and investment grade) securities offerings. Laurens graduated top of his class at the University of Amsterdam and holds a law degree from Columbia Law School.

Representative matters

  • Avantium N.V. in connection with its equity raise, securing a total of EUR 84.8 million through a fully underwritten rights offering (EUR 65.4 million) and an additional placement (EUR 19.4 million).
  • G42 in connection with the sale of 118,000,000 ordinary shares in Presight AI raising net proceeds of USD 100 million.
  • Imperial in connection with the issuance of USD 850 million 4.500% notes due 2028, and USD 500 million 5.625% notes due 2035, USD 500 million 6.375% notes due 2055 under its GMTN Program.
  • The Initial Purchasers in connection with the State of Qatar’s issuance of USD 1 billion 3.625% notes due 2028 and USD 3 billion 4.250% Trust Certificates due 2035.
  • Entain plc in connection with its debut high-yield bond issuance of EUR 500 million 4.875% senior secured notes due 2031.
  • Froneri in connection with its EUR 4.25 billion financing, including a debut high-yield bond issuance of EUR 600 million 4.750% senior secured notes due 2032 and USD 580 million 6.000% senior secured notes due 2032.
  • The Initial Purchasers on Techem’s issuance of EUR 610 million 4.625% senior secured notes due 2032 and EUR 540 million E+3.000% senior secured floating rate notes due 2032.
