Katrina is a corporate lawyer based in the Perth office, with experience in domestic and cross-border commercial and corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and general corporate advisory work.
She also has experience advising inbound investors on Australia’s foreign investment regime, including the Foreign Investment Review Board’s application and approval process. Katrina has also worked on a range of commercial disputes in litigation proceedings.

  • Ambrosia Investment Holding on the proposed acquisition of 50% of Allied's interest in Allied Gold ML Corp to the value of USD375 million. The proposed acquisition was to result in the formation of a 50:50 joint venture with Allied Gold and a private placement to fund the phased expansion at Sadiola.
  • A division of integrated energy and chemicals company on its USD4.7bn asset swap with Woodside.
  • Fortescue on corporate governance and regulatory advice.
  • PT Pamapersada on the legal framework governing foreign investments in Australia's mining industry.
  • Advising a national petroleum and natural gas company on its proposed acquisition of a significant stake in an independent retail fuels business.
  • OreCorp on its proposed takeover by Silvercorp Metals, initially via a scheme of arrangement under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) (which included a placement of new fully-paid ordinary shares of OreCorp issued to Silvercorp to raise AUD28m), which evolved into an ongoing takeover bid by Silvercorp Metals and a competitive takeover bid by Perseus Mining Limited.
  • INPEX, in relation to separate proceedings in the Supreme Court of Western Australia commenced against CAR and EAR insurers, seeking in the order of AUD $3 billion in recovery under relevant insurance policies in respect of damage to certain paint and insulation on the Ichthys LNG Plant.
  • Australian LNG joint venture on the preparation and conduct of an LNG Price Review.
