Joshua is a member of the Markets Innovation Group, a team of lawyers dedicated to creating innovative solutions that help clients address large-scale legal and regulatory challenges.
He focuses on ContractMatrix, Harvey, Analyze, and Vantage, A&O Shearman's AI-powered contract review platform, which won the FT Innovative Lawyer Europe Award 2025.

Joshua contributes to the delivery of Vantage projects, which provide complex and precise legal analysis through lawyer-led AI that incorporates legal judgment into the workflow. He has worked on Vantage projects covering legal areas such as cyber, leveraged finance, derivatives, and restructuring.

He has experience in creating and developing technology-driven client solutions, with an emphasis on AI-enabled platforms for scalable contract review and analysis. His work includes delivering structured, portfolio-wide insights for legal reviews, operational data, and market trend analysis.

Joshua also contributes to the development of digital playbooks that replicate context-based decision-making by applying tailored regulatory and legal standards to specific scenarios. In addition, he advises large financial institutions and corporates on derivatives and structured finance transactions, including loan-linked and securitisation-linked swaps.

  • Z2K – Associate on A&O Shearman’s collaboration with Zacchaeus 2000 Trust (Z2K) in supporting their clients in need of first-tier tribunal representation after being denied sickness or disability benefits.
