Joris advises on EU competition law and related regulatory matters, with a particular focus on complex vertical agreements and EU State aid. He also has experience in EU internal market law, EU funding and the regulation of public enterprises, allowing him to support clients in navigating the broader regulatory challenges affecting their operations.
His practice spans a range of sectors, including financial services, network industries and media.

Alongside his advisory work, Joris maintains a strong academic profile. He holds a PhD from KU Leuven (Institute for Consumer, Competition and Market), where he continues to contribute as a research fellow and lecturer in EU Economic Law. He regularly publishes and speaks on developments in EU competition and law and EU regulatory matters.

Joris advises a range of organizations operating in regulated industries, including financial institutions and corporates. He works closely with senior management and in-house legal teams, providing in-depth but commercially focused advice on competition and regulatory issues.
