Jochem notably has extensive experience advising on investment restrictions under investment screening regimes, merger control, and the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation.

He regularly represents clients in proceedings before competition and investment screening regulatory authorities and courts at the European and national level.

Before joining the firm, he completed the Blue Book Traineeship at the European Commission, DG Competition. He completed a PhD on investment screening in the European Union at the University of Amsterdam. Jochem regularly publishes on investment screening law.
