She specialises in matters involving both Dutch and English law and is qualified to practise in both jurisdictions.
Jetske has represented clients before various district courts and courts of appeal in the Netherlands, including the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal and the Netherlands Commercial Court. She has experience acting in multijurisdictional arbitrations and in the enforcement and setting aside of arbitral awards in the Netherlands. In addition, she advises clients on corporate governance, decision-making processes and pre-litigation strategy. She has particular experience across the energy, commodity trading and construction sectors, and regularly advises on shareholder disputes, failed joint ventures, M&A claims, commercial contract breaches, investor-state claims, directors’ liability and tort claims.
Before joining the Litigation team, Jetske worked in our Banking & Finance practice group, where she acted for both lenders and borrowers in a range of (re)financing and restructuring transactions. She previously gained experience in the arbitration, finance and real estate practices of other highly regarded Dutch law firms. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the official magazine of Leiden Law School from 2018 to 2019, and graduated from Leiden University in 2020 with a double master’s degree in Business Law and in Jurisprudence and Philosophy of Law. Jetske is fluent in English and Dutch, conversational in French, and reads German, Spanish and Italian.
